Anson Trust - Working for the community

Meeting the needs of Marcham

Over the years the village has grown and its needs have changed. The community facilities originally built to serve the local residents have not been updated. The temporary buildings we have on the Anson Field are tired and cramped and the Institute has been costly to maintain and is unsuitable for the activities of present day community groups.

The Anson Trust, which owns the Institute building and the Anson Field in the village, has been working on proposals to provide a new community hall and sports pitches. The proposals have been the subject of much discussion. Were the Trust to decide to adopt this proposal separate planning applications would be submitted for a new community facility on land adjoining Hyde Copse and for housing on the Anson Field.
